Default Escanaba in da Moonlight

I doubt many of you have seen this gem of a flick filmed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan by the local residents (known as Yoopers). The movie stars Jeff Daniels as Reuben Soady who is now 42, and hasn't bagged a buck. He does to "deer camp" with his father and his brother, as well as a friend named "the jimmer". The choose to deviate from normal customs to ones Reuben suggests including drinking a potion to help their "aira (aura)" and douse them selfs with porcupine piss as suggested to Reuben by his Native American wife. After some weird phenomenon involving a DNR officer from Detroit seeing "god" and people being possessed by evil spirits, Reuben finally bags a buck.

I think this movie is a really good movie (problebly because I used to live in the U.P.). I think this film needs a blu-ray release as the DVD looks like a VHS transfer.

What do you expect for $5 at a gas station?
