I was thinking they could make an awsome game of any of the MGS games. One of the things they would have to get around especially in Metal Gear Solid is that Solid Snake is alone for long portions of the game. Mind you so is Jack Bauer in 24 is alone a lot of the time too.

For the script they could do David Hayter (screenwriter X-Men X2, and The Watchmen

) (Voice over for Snake) a huge curtosy and get him to do the screen play. I am making an edit after Charles3669 said somthing Kojima would come up with the story.

Casting

Christian Bale as Snake (Batman serious voice for Snake)

Director

Roger Doneldson

I know most of you are saying who, but he did The Recruit which I wasn't a big fan of. But he did an a great movie which espionage was one of the main themes it stared Kevin Costner it was called No Way Out.

For the music you would bring back Harry Gregson Williams

David Hayter did pen a script and it was rejected severely. Being the voice actor doesn't give you the credentials to take over the story. If a movie is made Kojima is the only man to do it.

I just a couple MGS Movies this weekend, they were called Rambo II and Rambo III lol

Gerard Butler (without the 300 beard!) would be great as Snake.

movie and video game are very different media, in a game you play a character(s) in a movie you watch character(s).
thus faithfully adapting a video game to a movie is an illusion : it wouldn't mean anything to do the same story again, to have the same dialogues, the same suspense ... If a MGS movie would be made, I think it would be some "secret missions" not shown in the game or a prequel or sequel to a game.

I think a good no-name actor would be the best choice for snake.

Isn't Snake based off of Kurt Russell anyways? Why not just use him. He'll be good for the older Snake.
Hugh Jackman is good for any rugged role, he definitely earned it! So he could be the younger Snake(s)
