Hey,
I already own some Blu-ray titles, my favorites being "The Patriot," "The Pirates Trilogy," and "Blade Runner" and need more. I've seen all the films on the list below and enjoyed every one. I'm trying to decide which to get based on PQ and AQ quality as well as I guess replay value. Out of these films, number them from 1-10 (with 1 being the one I should buy immediately and 10 being the one I can wait for) Cloverfield Rambo Speed The Rock Troy Ratatouille Vacancy 30 Days of Night The Prestige Casino Royale Thanks. |

2. The Prestige 3. The Rock 4. Ratatouille 5. Troy 6. Cloverfield 7. 30 Days of Night 8. Rambo 9. Vacancy 10. Speed Opinions on the movies will differ. I ranked them in the order that I like the movies because with the exceptions of Vacancy and Speed, all the titles are going to have stellar PQ/AQ. I actually haven't seen Ratatouille, but from what I've read it is reference quality PQ. |

Well, Rambo should be an essential. It meets all the criteria: great movie, great PQ and 7.1 sound.
![]() No need to buy Vacancy. Don't waste your money on that! ![]() Other than that Casino Royale, Ratatouille, The Rock, Troy would be good choices. |

The movies section of this site gives consumer reviews on every movie on BD. I prefer "regular" peoples' opinions more that of "professionals" .

I agree 100%, I almost never agree with critics. Critics look for certain things that not everyone requires to enjoy a movie. They're too picky! But that's their job.

I'd also like to point out that out of the list, I own The Prestige, Casino Royale, Troy, and The Rock on standard DVD already. I'm just wondering if those are worth the upgrade as well because I watched Troy on my Blu-ray and it looked pretty darn good. Thanks.

Now that is funny putting Cloverfield after a movie that has recieved crap reviews across the board. And that movie would be 30 Days of Night. That was a complete piece of garbage. I guess it looked a little better so it is a better movie. Concerns me when I see people rate a movie by looks along. Looks do not make a movie. They help but in no way make a movie. But then again it is just peoples opinions.
