Problem with "World Trade Center" - Blu-ray Forum

I have the Sony BDP S300 and ever since upgrading to the 3.8 firmware i get as far as the "your movie is about to begin" and it just hangs there,it worked fine on earlier versions, i turn the player off/on to no avail, im guessing the only way i could remedy this is if i downgrade to an earlier firmware vision? is it possible to do this ?

I know! but even since upgrading to 3.9 i have the same problem :-(

I have the same player, and since I did 3.9, I swear I have continual problems with discs pausing for a moment, then skipping ahead about 10 seconds....BUT....only with Blockbuster discs. Very strange.

supposedly the s300 and s500 are problematic in this way. they say you must keep the BD immaculate.
