Default LG GGWH20L Super Multi Blue any good?

I am building a new PC, - which will also be my movie-player.

I am thinking to buy the LG GGWH20L Super Multi Blue
My reasons are:
  • Fairly cheap
  • Does dual layer BD writing (don't know if I am ever going to use it, - but I might :-))
  • Plays everything: CD, DVD, HD-DVD and of course the most important: BD

It will be my very first BD device ever, so if anyone knows any pitfalls for me to avoid, have any suggestions or anything it would be appreciated a lot!

Also, BD's in Denmark (where I live) and in Europe in general is quite expensive. It's a lot cheaper in US. I have an american friend who goes back to US a few times a year. So it's likely that he could buy me discs.
But will these actually play on my player (region coding, PAL/NTSC or other issues)

what are the major requirements when installing this drive? will there be any compatibility issues with a fairly new dell desktop?
