Ive recently purchased the above amp, alls fantastic with it apart from the fact i dont seem to get any sub bass whilst im listening to CDs in stereo? Ive tried it in Analogue direct etc & gone through various settings but still no joy, i used to own the Denon 3805 amplifier & it worked fine getting sub bass in pure direct mode whilst playing cds & the settings are the same on the pioneer to what i had the denon set to, am i missing something? can anybody help??

CDs don't actually contain an LFE track, so if you're just listening to the stereo track without any processing going on, it's not supposed to send anything to the sub.
You'll have to change some settings for or use one of the dolby prologic modes (not just the direct audio mode -- try the other ones) to start sending the frequencies below the crossover point to the sub. You've gotta be missing something, as I can't imagine there wouldn't be a way to make it happen. |
