Those look like some pretty solid sales numbers. Just imagine what it would be like if WB got off it's ass and started pumping out BD like the do HD dvd. Universal has to get a jag on

Here in downtown Toronto, Crank arrived almost 3 weeks after it was intially released in the U.S. but within 24 hours every copy was sold in all 5 stores I frequent. Those include HMV, Sams, Worlds Biggest Bookstore Best Buy & FutureShop. A few did get more stock 4 days later.

I still have yet to see the movie anywhere. Future Shop Best Buy and Walmart, Wasn't sure I wanted it till rental gave me a nudge. Where I live(Langley just outside of Vancouver) I have 2 Walmarts and 2 Future shops 20 minutes away. They are quick sellers or they didn't get them.

I've never seen it anywhere, and I check regularly. It must have arrived and sold out in a flash.

The downtown BB is absolutely TERRIBLE at getting in titles. It is total hit and miss. They are missing perhaps 1/2 the released titles. It seems they have stopped ordering HD DVD since the lower shelves are being filled with spread out copies of Tokyo Drift.

I ended up getting Crank from Amazon.com. AMAZING title. Incredible PQ and a very fun movie. I can't believe I missed it in the theater.

I saw 2 copies of Crank at the FutureShop up at Yonge & Sheppard last night. BB didn't have squat. They had 2 copies initially (downtown) and sold them in an hour. HMV held one for me and they actually have a great selection. More expensive on some titles though.

Last night, I went to HMV and BB... no one had Open Season. Walked into the F.S. at Sheppard and bingo... 4 copies.

Damn it, HD DVD still has more dvds that can ship today...
As for the Warner, I think part of the blame is on BD camp as well, get that BDJ working finally. This has been one of the major points for HD DVD to criticize BD for long time now.

For BD things can only improve. BDJ and BD+ implementation...
More titles...

And more sales. I mean, c'mon HD DVD won't be able to keep up in the end.
Studios, keep this up.

By the way, if any Toronto people pop up to the Sheppard F.S., don't just look in the regular Blu-Ray rack... look in the new release stand. Copies are there but not in the regular stock rack. Dummies.
