How to manually uninstall a PC Game help!!! - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, I recently installed Civilization 4 and Civilization 4:Beyond The Sword on my PC and encountered problems with the patch of Beyond The Sword. Anyways, I decided to uninstall Beyond The Sword which worked, but now I am running into complications removing the regular Civilization 4 PC Game install. I tried the official uninstall, then I also deleted all the files I could find. Then I tried using the setup.exe file on the list of files for the game and it tells me that install cannot continue because patch v1.74 is still installed whereas the CIV 4 game itself is v1.61. Therefore, my PC still has in memory the v1.74 patch that was intended for Beyond The Sword which has already been uninstalled. Can someone help me here please?

Try using add/delete programs in the config menu, you might find it in that list. If that doesn't work, use task manager (ctrl-alt-del) shut it down, then track it down in the program folder.

On the topic of un/instaslling games.

im trying to install battle for middle earth on my pc but every time it gets to 87% there is an error with installing a certain file.

Is this because i have Vista (64bit)?
anything i can do to help it along.?
