Can't beat Disney, not only for the transfer, but for the quality of the special features and attention to their fan base. You know they're going to get it right every time.

People are living in the past. Disney was a top notch studio for consistent Blu-ray excellence six months ago, but some of their recent releases have been questionable at best. Fox is consistently underrated I think because they price their BDs so high compared to the other studios. They've included lossless soundtracks on every single Blu-ray and constantly have the highest video bitrate encodes. And up until Patton had been staying away from much use of DNR.

Right now the winners are Disney and Sony, but Warner is getting better with I am Legend and V for Vandetta they are making great progress. If Warner continues at this pace the release of Batman Begins just might make me wet myself. Fox has had some good ones too with I robot and Rise of the Silver Surfer, I am expecting great things from them in the future, just hope they lower their prices some.

Depends on how you define 'best', but Sony seems to use little or no DNR and their transfers look most filmlike and natural to me. Disney and Fox are pretty close in many cases.
Warner titles seem to lack the detail of those studios mentioned above. |

I was going to say Disney but after Gangs of New York, I'm going to have to rethink that one.
