A few weeks back I listed 2 receivers on amazon. An 8 month old onkyo tx-sr605 and a older jvc rx-dp10vbk. I paid full price when I bought the 605 and it is in excellent used condition. Ive dropped the price from $330 to $299. Ive had a few inquiries about it, but no sale so far. I dont want to go lower as it is basically like new! does anyone think thats to much to ask? also the jvc is a 50lb thx ultra 7.1 receiver. It was a $1000 receiver when I got it in 02. I listed it for $295. its also a good receiver, just hdmi challenged, so I figured it would be harder to sell. any input would be appreciated other than keep going lower!

the problem is that it didnt help that the 606 is a newer model and not that much more for new than your price used. plus amazon has free shipping on it. i saw the other prices and for the silver one too. i think theyll be there for a while.

youre probably right, its like by the time you leave the store and get home, your product is an antique! I dont really want to get it up the ass more than i have to. thats what the gas pumps are for!

i was really surprised by the newer models so soon. i think it has to do with a new format and what they shoulda done. i asked onk if there was a 706 coming but they dont know but yet there is an option for a search on thier site for it. if i even hear about a 706 with a better upconversion im selling before its released.
edit: http://www.us.onkyo.com/feedback_form.cfm?cat=Receiver check the model numbers under contact support. theres a 706. i know thats not what you want to hear considering you already upgraded again. Last edited by un4gvn94538; 06-27-2008 at 03:55 AM. |

I figured since since they came out with the 506 and 606 theyd have the 706, 806,876, and 906. I havent had the 705 quite a month yet, and updated it last night by cd, even though onkyo told me I cant do it that way. they were wrong! im keeping it for a while im sure. unless youre rich, its hard to keep up with technology.
