I have a 65' Mitsubishi rear projection.I bought it about 6 years ago. I have had not one issue with it. The picture still looks great! I joined the BLU RAY generation even though I have no HDMI connection on my TV. Watched BLU RAY MI3 last night and the picture was just great. Afterwards,I tried the regular DVD of the same movie. I could see a minor/moderate difference. Picture looked "flatter" but crystal clear. I have heard that regular DVD's DO NOT improve through component jacks on BLU RAY but it looked pretty good to me. So,what are the facts on component cables upconverting regular DVD's? Last night,I put the FF:Rise of the Surfer on both my BLU RAY & my regular SAMSUNG DVD player. The picture looked much better on the BLU RAY. Colors were deeper and richer.
