You shouldn't count the MI collection as 3 separate titles. That is 1 title (Mission Impossible - Ultimate Missions Collection).

So, you have 15 Blu-ray titles and 59 HD-DVD titles.

The boxset came with three titles all on individual discs and packed in individual cases. So, it does count. So, it's kind of ridiculous that we should count in that manner when it's clear that it's not just one title.

It counts it you read the UPC code off the box (via software program) and it splits them into 3 separate titles (instead of one) and UPC codes (you should never see that happen).

What you have done is called cheating. If I did that, I could claim I have over 4000 DVD titles.

We're talking about movies, not the UPC codes. However, if you count them by disc... then that's different.

I do not count tv series box sets that include 4 discs or addition discs in movies that include as special feature on disc 2.
Mission Impossible 1, 2,3. That make 3 movies in one pack. So, be wise on what you count.
Don't count all discs, only titles. That what I usually count my dvd in past and same way I do with Blu-ray and HD DVD.

UPC code doesn't mean anything to me.
This is movies, just as Banjo stated recent. So, we are here to post our collection for everyone to check it out , not debate about it and criticize somebody.

What is it with you people this week? (And no I'm not refering to only the people in this split thread). Blu-ray wins, and suddenly we're all bickering among ourselves? What is it? The other team lost steam to fight us, but we need to keep on fighting somewhere?


If person A wants to count the discs on his collection one way and person B wants to count his' in another way, it's their priviledge. It's almost we're in a sandbox at playschool and I have more crayons than you do! :-P

And for that matter, if anybody cares, since I keep a list of releases in this forum and you may wonder how I count, I count individual movies/programmes/content as 1 and don't count repeats in box sets (For example M:I colection counts as 3 BDs (and HD DVDs) released but I don't count the individual M:i:III as a 4th BD (or HD DVD), and the individual Discovery Atlas discs are counted as 4, while the separate box set that groups them is not counted, but that's just my choice.

A Season would be 1, altho now with split seasons (*sigh*), I don't know if I'd count them as 2 or 1 but we haven't gone there yet (I'll probably count them as 1 to keep my sanity )

If you like to count different, that's ok too!
