NBA game suggestions - Blu-ray Forum

Now i know that the nba games for the ps3 are not very good but which do you reccomend. There is NBA 08, NBA 2k8, or NBA live 08

I'd go with 2K8. NBA 08 is Crap, and so is EA Sports.

I'd have to disagree with you about NBA Live 08. Although I agree with you about EA, I actually enjoyed NBA Live 08. There were some definite issues with lag while playing online, the game play experience was fun...at least for me that is. The game was not for everyone but I liked the controls better for NBA Live 08 then I did for NBA 2K8.

I'm a big fan of NBA 2K, so i'm waiting for the release of NBA 2K9.

NBA 2K8 has always been one step ahead of Live, but EA is closing the gap quickly. Can't wait to see what 09 has in store.

I had bought NBA 08 with amarea stoudamire on the front cover cuz it had 1080p ... it played alright ... then I got Live as a gift, it had great controls, after that I never played 08 again ... Live is pimp.

NBA Live 95. That game on Sega Genesis was amazing. I suppose you're probably looking for a PS3 game though. Are you looking for an 08 version or an 09 version? I enjoyed Live 08, but I've heard bad things about it's online capabilities (which I never used).

I'd go w/ NBA 08' . NBA live has turned into one of the worst NBA sims out there sad to to say. Go w/ the NBA series from sony. It has the most fluid gameplay of all three titles available. NBA live has really gone from sugar to shit over the years and just seems to get worse and worse. You won't go wrong w/ NBA 07' 08' ,09'

No contest - go for NBA 2K8 or NBA 2K9 which will be released in a few months. It has great graphics and the best basketball AI in the business. I cannot stress how nice the AI and play setting is in this game. Plus, the online portion is a lot better developed with user created leagues available that may be customized. My friends and I create an online league each year, and it is a lot of fun.
