Does the Samsung BD-P 1400 play region free? - Blu-ray Forum

I have a Samsung BD-P 1400 and I just purchased Sweeney Todd from the UK, the Blu-ray is region free, however, I just noticed when I was looking at the spec of the player that the player when originally bought was not region free. However, with all the new firmware updates to the player is it still not region free?

Region free Blu players that you can remote hack are extremely unlikely

They will not make DVD region free either

If you want to play Region B discs, I suggest buying a region B player

whats the point of region free than if blu ray players dont even play anything but there own region?!?!?!?
