Default 2008 Black Friday Shopping: Blu rays?

Do you guys think for this year's Black Friday sale, retail stores will have some nice deals on blu ray movies? Last year at my local Best Buy and Circuit City, they had none (although there are always super deals on standard dvds). I asked some of the employees last year and they said there may be some sales this year, but they weren't sure.

If anyone works at these retail stores and have some inside info, please share. It would be nice to stock up on this occasion not only for myself, but we all know that blus also make nice gifts.

Already thinking about Black Friday sales? I guess it doesn't hurt to start early. Maybe retailers will discount more depending on how retail sales do this year, a major slowdown is possibly on the horizon.

yes, but not AMAZING deals probably, hopefully a good selection for $10 or something like that, but yeah we can't really start thinking about this until about 2 weeks before Black Friday.

While I'm sure there will be a few deals on specific Blu-ray titles, I can almost guarantee that Blu-ray players will be prominently featured as Black Friday specials this year. It fits the profile of a trendy item that the stores like to use to generate traffic. I bet we see $199 players out the door or possibly even less.

Don't forget to bookmark http://bfads.net/. This is where all the early AD comes in, except Wal-Mart due to dumb policy.

It's a bit early for this thread, don't you think?

Honestly, I do hope we will see some good deals for movies. I wouldn't mind $10 a pop for new and old releases.

Too early to talk about Black Friday sales?

Perhaps,... but not to early to start camping out. I'll be in the green tent at the Best Buy near the freeway, I'm packed and heading out later on this evening.
