Default Klipsch RS-42 oe RS-52?

I'm looking to purchase rear surrounds. I can get a pair of RS-42s for $267 or the RS-52 for $400. Is the difference in sound enough to make it worth the extra $130 for the RS-52s?

I would go for the 52's. Do you mind if I ask where you're getting such a good deal? Thanks.

Not at all. Apparently Ebay offers a fairly large discount, sometimes up to 25% if you do a search through live.com You have to wait 60 days for the discount, but well worth it in my opinion, since Ebay prices are already less than anywhere else online. This link has more info:

I'll more than likely go with the rf-52s, simply for the fact that I always make the mistake of wanting to upgrade two months later.

it fairly depends on what you're planning to use em for.

considering how we used to have surrounds take a high toll when it came to sacd's or dvd-audio disc, apparently the newer formats have somewhat the same effect.

they're surrounds, id say save up and use the extra 130 clams and see if your room can support/benefit from a 5.1 to a 7.1.
