Default Subwoofer Help

Hi everyone. Needing some help. I just purchased the Polk Audio DSW400 and having problems getting it to work with my home theater system. All the other speakers work fine and I even purchased a heavy duty sub cable(Sub-1). The sub does power on but the light just keeps flashing like its in standby mode, so not sure if its actually on or not. I can't get the blue LED light in front to come on either. I switched the settings on my Onkyo805 to Subwoofer: yes, but still nothing. on the ends of the subwoofer cables are these little cables that i can ground to the screws on the sub and reciever, maybe connect those and it will work then? I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the Onkyo speaker config, but looking for help on those settings as well. my current ones are below, and not sure what they need to be on, besides of course the subwoofer setting to yes. my speakers are about 5 years old and not sure what their Hz's are. My manual says switch all speakers to 80Hz if they are THX certified, but they are a few years old and not sure if they are or not. I spent a lot of money on this sub, and would love to get it working. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you, as always.

Tony
