Default 7/29/08 vs. The Original Star Wars

A little twist on the message board out of curiosity.

If you had the choice between every Blu that is being released on 7/29/08 (Perfect Storm, Jack Ryan Collection, Top Gun, etc) for free, or the Original Star Wars on Blu for 99.95 which would you choose.

Star Wars, the others are not even on the same planet.. I'll pay $100 for Star Wars.. even if you gave me the other movies for free and payed me $500.. I'd still choose Star Wars.

But, are you saying the Original Star Wars as in only Episode 4? Or Original Star Wars as in the Trilogy? At the price point you put, I would think the Trilogy.

I would go with the free movies. Then maybe on 7/30/08 buying Star Wars if I really wanted it.

And another question to add on, would you want the Original movies, or the Original moves that have been enhanced by Lucas. You know, with the extra CGI stuff to "make the movies better" and "expand the worlds."

Well to me there's only one orginal STAR WARS, no bloody A, B, C, or D - Scotty

The others are Star Wars movies, or some versions apochryphal derivations

for some reason I think given the choice, a large majority of this forum's members would select "Star Wars" over companionship from the opposite sex, or other things which hold much greater value in the scheme of things....... I love Star Wars, but I'm taking all of the other releases for FREE.... selling the ones I don't want, and waiting patiently for Star Wars

Original Theatrical releases of star wars, digitally remastered for surround unlike the DVDs that were released in 2006.... YES! Otherwise, I'll pass on them for Patriot Games.

As much as I love the original Star Wars,NO WAY I'd ever pay that kind of money for it.
