The Ruins ? - Blu-ray Forum

I posted this on the other ruins post earlier, but didn't get a answer. One of the posters said they had trouble playing the Ruins on their Panasonic DMPBD30K Bluray player because it wasn't 2.0 compliant. Unless I misunderstood. Anyhooo, I planned on buying this bluray next week and was wondering if anyone else has had the same trouble.

You should NOT have any problem playing a movie just because the player is not 2.0 profile. The most that will happen is that you will not be able to use the BD Live features.

the problem can be fixed via turning off the 24p option , another member brought it up in the main ruins thread.

I thought this was the first bluray player that was 2.0 compliant.

Don't buy it, the movie was a horriable!!!

For the official review page: please remove French and Spanish audio from the specifications (it is English audio only + English commentary) and add English SDH and Portuguese subtitles.

I just watched this as a rental and quite enjoyed it!!

It's something different compared to all those supernatural hollywood remakes of japanese horror films that flooded the theaters the past few years.
Thinking about picking it up when there is some kind of sale going on.
