On my new 80g PS3, it does not seem to want to display the "chapter menus" on Blu-Rays. For example, I played the new "Batman: Gotham Knights" animated feature, and the film just started. There was not intro or title panel, no chapter menus to choose from, it just started.
Once I paused the feature, I thought a chapter menu would come up, but it did not. So, I could not access certain parts of the feature, without using the FF feature built into the PS3 on-screen interface. There was also the same problem with "We Are Marshall". No chapter menu once the Blu-Ray was played. No way to pause and access certain scenes ... Could it be that these Blu-Rays didn't feature a chapter menu, or is this a problem with the PS3? Thanks. (Hope I'm posting this in the right spot, I'm a newbie. ![]() Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Blu-ray Nate |

I don't have those particular titles, but I beileve they are both WB Blu-Rays (at least the Batman was is for sure).
For whatever reason, WB tends to not have an initial default menu and intead has the movie start right up. There is a pop-up menu that can be used to access chapters and extra features (this menu actually appears over the movie while it is playing). Do you have the PS3 Blu-Ray remote, or are you using the game controller? If you have the remote (which if you don't I HIGHLY recommend getting one), there should be a button that says "pop-up menu" that will bring it up. If you are using the controller, there is a way to get to it, I think. If I recall correctly, if you hit the 'select' button, it will bring up a menu of options (these are specific to the PS3, not the disc) on how to access certain parts of the disc. One will probably be labeled as pop-up menu. I'm not sure if there is an actual button on the controller itself that activates that menu directly (I haven't used the controller much since I have the remote). I hope this helps some. I do wish WB had traditional menus right when you put in the disc. There is a menu that it goes to once the movie ends, but that kind of defeats the purpose of what you're trying to do. |

Thank you so much! I'm hoping that there's no problem with my PS3, or the disk itself, and it sounds like that may be the case.
