I noticed... and am excited about it... though I'll be more excited when "MINI-major" Weinstein/Genius comes aboard in September as that will mean pretty much EVERY studio with a decent output will be aboard.

Yeah, I guess you could say it's V-HD day or something, but I'm waiting on Weinstein before getting too excited... the last of the 'HD DVD' holdouts, and the last mini-major.

Disney went live in Septermber 2006. Dinosaur, Eight Below, The Great Raid, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back were all released on 9/16/06.

Also kind of funny to realize that Fox was dark last year for almost as long as Paramount... and they didn't get one "red" cent out of that.

But, yeah, not a bad day. Blu-ray now has the six majors releasing, and soon will have the two biggest mini-majors. HD DVD has... um... none of those.

Definitely a very good day. I will always wonder how long the HD DVD studios would have held on being exclusive if Toshiba hadn't thrown in the towel. The next big day for me will be when every new Blu-ray released has lossless audio.
