Cool Hardware Online 2(Concept Name)

Hi guys did a little research and it looks like this could be the best candidate for this secret game what do ya think??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardware:_Online_Arena

mystery solved!

Its official! [Thanks Major Zero]

PS3 Exclusive announcement: HARDWARE 2 (concept name)

Hardware 2 is a joint effort being developed by Sony London Studios, Sony Liverpool, and Incognito. This is major news because of the highly talented developers behind this project.

Gameplay Features:

  • Fight in Tanks and Jeeps, Bikes and Helicopters in the frag competition.

  • Fully customize every part on your vehicle including color, items, weapons and more.

  • The biggest change however are the environments: You can fight in a Living and breathing world and you can destroy everything, you can even just kill your enemies by letting an appartment building crash into it. The damage will be unbelievable because everything is linked together, when you destroy a building it can crash onto another building and get damaged realisticly.

  • Decapitation of Limbs or smashing people under buildings or just be a happy guy that runs over people for a living is something thats normal in Hardware 2 (concept name).

  • Fight 50 vs 50 go beserk and do a deathmatch against 99 other players. like Deathmatch, Team Deatchmatch ,CTF and King of the hill.

  • Several original game modes, a total of 14 game modes are already created and being tested. You will also have the ability to play mini games online like do the most damage or kill the most pedestrians.

  • Clan support is included. You can have a clan emblem, create your own tournaments, and build up your reputation. The reputation is something special, some games encourage that you destroy buildings and kill innocent people. Hardware 2 is different, you should avoid it… You will need to take the decision if your shot will be accurate enough or else you will kill 50 people, that’s what military is all about. The more ‘clean’ you play, the better your reputation will become.

  • A cool feature about Hardware 2 (concept name) is something similar like the Snapshot in Burnout. Everytime that you kill an enemy you’ll see a box with a camera inside the vehicle and you see how the character dies and believe me when i say some deaths are very painful to look at. The online part will be very important and they are going to make sure that

Think Next gen Carmageddon meets Twisted metal

told ya lol

This does sound like a possibilty, since the game matches the description that was given in another post.

Wasn't brilliant, but okay for the first ps2 game online! As it was free and simple to get the hang of you can't realy knock it! I think if im correct there was a 2 player offline mode vs bots which was good fun too!
In the wikipedia article it says

"was one of the three most popular games played online having over 200 users on at any one time"

Lmao! How things have changed

Is it confirmed that the mystery game is an online/multiplayer game? I was hoping it would be focused on single player.

Is this really the game that would put Killzone 2 and MAG to shame?

Equating this to a ""MAJOR" exclusive would be quite the hype.

I wouldn't put this above SOCOM: Confrontation, let alone those two you mentioned.

I agree.

Why not hold off all further speculation until we get some new hints on Saturday?

Well if Sony London did indeed stop work on The Getaway and 8 Days to work on this game, someone at sony has to be confident it is going to be awesome(Just like MAG)

If it turns out to be true, this is gona be intresting though. We have games like MAG and Socom coming soon and we have Warhawk(online only shooter style games)

Are they going after potential 360 owners?!

OMFG this game my friends dad still plays it online and is one of the top 20 in Aus neways i've played it a couple of times and its not that bad for an online PS2 game but if they cancelled getaway and eight days for this then SE are a bunch of idiots cause the other 2 games would have sold millions more compared to this

There are too many super secret mystery games yet to be unveiled. Is the August 3 announcement going to be for the secret game that is supposed to blow every other game away, or a different game we haven't seen yet?
