Default Need a good place to put my PS3 games online

I purchased all of my PS3 games on Friday and would like to find out where would be a good online data base to put them on. There are so many places to put your movie collection on, but very few for video games.

Any suggestions?

(I don't know if there are any threads on this and am too lazy to do a search)

Good heavens, 40 games in one day? Are you just collecting to collect, or do you actually plan on playing some of those?

I don't know if a place where you can explicitly track PS3 game ownership. I use the tags from TripleTags.com, but their interface is a little clunky for purposes of organizing them.

Hmm that sounds strange to me. If I paid for online games I'd keep those home on some portable HDD. But yeah if you feel better storing those online, by all means do so my friend

Try IGN.com or gamespot.com

Care to tell us what games you bought in one day? Plus the other 2?

I didn't buy online games. These are store bought games I would like to keep track of in a database just like I do with my movies.

I am registered with gamespot. Maybe I will try there. As soon as the games are put on, I will give the link.

I work at food distributor picking orders for customers. The oilfield contracts are big up here and we do orders for other big customers like KFC, Pizza Hut, Wendy's and Subway to name a few.

I have been working there for over 16 years and have been working lots of overtime for my goodies. I have been saving up for over 2 months for my PS3 games.

Oddly enough, Playstation Underground has a decent storage database.

http://www.us.playstation.com/MyAccount

Youll have to sign up obviously if you dont have an account but its a great place for info and other things anyways.

I'm a little late to the party, but here's another suggestion: MediaMan.

It costs money, sure, but I'm sure someone thrifty enough can find it for free.

It's basically a ripoff of a Mac program called Delicious Library, but still looks very nice. You can combine all your movies, games, books, and CDs, and view them on "bookshelf" (or you can just keep them all separate).

Here's a screenshot:

You can then export your bookshelf into an image file, so you can post that online for easy viewing, similar to this (but larger)

Dumb question. Educate me, why keep a list of your games/movies/CD's online. I understand data archival for businesses, but a list of movies that is sitting on your shelf in your house? I don't get it.

Some people might use it for insurance reasons, if they have huge collections of stuff. Others might have their collections stored in multiple areas or locations, and it might help to have a centralized list of it all. Some people might run a bootleg rental service out of their house. Some people might just like to stare at a screen showing all the stuff they own. Who really knows?
