With the Blu-ray of Season 1 at $70 and Season 2 at $48 on Amazon I just can't decide on the value of this one, when the SD of Season 1 is 18.99 this week at Target and Season 2 is $25 on Amazon.
If the PQ & AQ quality was going to blow the SD away like it does with some Blu-ray to SD comparisons I wouldn't mind paying the extra money, but I haven't seen any real positive reviews for Season 1 when it was released on HD-DVD, or really any of the Universal TV HD-DVDs. Does anyone think that we can expect the Blu-Ray of Season 1 to far exceed the quality of the HD-DVD? Otherwise it is hard to seeing paying the $50 & $20 differences. Thanks for your thoughts! I have been going back and forth on this one and am looking for some other opinions. Last edited by Vendetta-akk; 07-27-2008 at 08:31 PM. |

I'm not sure on how the blu will stack up against the HD, but I did have the HD and it was far, far, far better than the SD pq and aq wise.
However, have you seen both seasons already? I know if I missed any episodes, I'd pick both up in a second. But because my DVR never misses one, I'm slowing down on the TV boxsets until the series wrap. Just my two cents. |

Hello
You should expect outstanding Picture Quality for this TV Show; essentially about as good as it gets, irrespective of the season. As it is shot in HD originally and broadcast originally in HD, there is no reason to expect low quality or less quality than the outstanding Original Broadcast Quality; of course I am referring to the Terrestrial Broadcast and not Cable or Satellite, which is inferior. Thank You |

You can get it for about 10-20 dollars cheaper total at Borders with the 40% off coupon.
I was going to get these myself but I haven't seen Heroes and I heard that Season 2 was not as good as Season 1. |

I love people that show up to say things to upset other people. He didn't ask your opinion on the show, he said he's trying to decide what to do about purchasing them.

The guy who gaved 3.5/5 is on drug, without the compression artefact there was (and it will be fixed on the Bluray since it's a re-enc.) it's easily a 4 or 4.5/5 |
