I remember Weird Science was also planned for HD DVD at one time. Would be great to have both titles.

I'd like some of the raunchier teen and/or sex stuff, like:

Porky's (trilogy)
Zapped!
Private Lessons
Private School
Hot Moves (coming to DVD Oct.)
Screwballs (not on DVD either)
Hardbodies (no DVD)

not to mention:

FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH!!!

I'm sure Universal will do it within the next year. I'm waiting for "The Heavenly Kid"!

They've been showing Porky's on Universal HD. I wonder if that means a blu-ray release will be coming soon? In other words, I wonder if being ready for HD broadcast can be used to predict how soon we might see a blu-ray release?

zapped, isnt that the one with scott baio and hes invisible or something? believe it or not, the one movie im ready for is varsity blues. ive got it dvr'd and watch it just about every night i have off to goto sleep

Since it was released on HD-DVD, it shouldn't be long for a Blu release. Unless Universal is making a better encode for Blu, of course.

It was on 'HDDVD' as well. Unfortunately, those types of movies don't really interest me.
Now, excuse me while I go watch 'The Big Lebowski' or 'King Kong' or DTSHD-MA Special Edition Terminator 2 or one of the other excellent releases that you non-purples are still pathetically waiting for.
