Composite to S-Video Adapter

If I use a device such as this: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2
will I actually see an increase in video quality? I'm about to drop a few hundred dollars on a receiver and re-wire everything in the process. I figure it would be worth the few cents apiece to upgrade the picture slightly on my old game systems that use composite connections. But if these are just solely adapters and I wouldn't see an increase in video quality, I wouldn't shell out the few extra bucks in cash to do so.

Just in reading this, I would think that you would not get any benefit from doing this.

Those will actually make your picture worse. You want to use the Y/C separation in your receiver (or your TV depending on your setup) not in an $0.89 cable adapter, which does the separation without the aid of a proper comb filter.
