Default difference between viera models???

so I have decided I will purchase a panny plasma... But searched and can't find the difference between the 80u, 85u, 800u and 850u... Only real difference I see is the price. Someone please help me out so I can make a decision. Thanks in advance!

EDIT

800 and 850 have 24p Cinematic playback, others have 24p 2:3 ....

2 more speakers on the 800 and 850 (but you shouldn't care about that)

The 850 is the only one with a memory card slot, and also has "Viera cast" not sure what that is.... I guess it's like sprint's cell-phone thing

The 800 and 850 have +/- 10 degree swivel angles (again not important)

the 80, is the only one without Audio Inputs for PC .... (again not important in my opinion)

The 800 and 850 have 4 HDMI Inputs, the others have 3

The 800 and 850 have BBE® VIVA HD3D Sound (no idea what that is... but it's sound... so don't worry about it)

The 850 is the only one that lists "Digital Cinema Color" and the 800 is the only one that lists "THX MODE" for video.... again

The 850 says it has "Pro Setting" not sure what that is.

The 80 is the only one without a PC input of any-kind.

The 80/85 lists 4,096 Shades of Gradation while the 800/850 lists 5,120

The 80 has a 20,000 : 1 native contrast ratio, all the others have 30,000 : 1

I bolded the important parts.... It's between the 85U, and 800 for sure I'd look at the 800, but based on what I'm seeing, I wouldn't go for the 850, and definitely not the 80

Vieracast is IPTV, plug in your ethernet cable to the TV and watch youtube and such....

but the 2 you should really be looking at are the 85 and the 800. the 85 is a great TV but the 800 offers a few little additions; THX viewing mode, THX certification, one-piece look to the bezel/ screen (its one solid piece of glass, not glass recessed into a plastic bezel), and a better video scaler for SD (or sub-par HD) content

I updated.... I read it wrong.... the 80/85 have "different" 24p playbacks... whatever that means!

I think the 20,000 : 1 contrast ratio rules out the 80 right away.... and it's definitely between the 85/800

and if that "Cinematic 24p playback" is much better, I'd say it's worth it

Now I feel bad having a 80u model, and I think the native contrast ratio is only 15,000:1 but I like the tv and Im pretty sure the others cost quite a bit more. It has a good picture!

I've got the 800 and love it. By far the best picture I've ever seen, especially the SD programming. I am anxious for the time where I don't have to watch SD programming anymore, and was considering getting an all hd programming package, but I might just keep my current cable because the picture is so good. This was my first plasma, and I ran the burn-in dvd for about the first 100 hours and I haven't had any burn-in or image retention.

85U accepts 24fps but 2:3 pulldown. At least that's what Panasonic's website says. Amazon.com says that the new viera line 2008 does 24fps native. Not clear which is correct, but i'm willing to guess that panasonic's more accurate

The 800 and 850 has some kind of judder problem playing back 24p 2:2 pulldown according to CNET. I was gooing to go for the 800 or 850 until I read the reviews. I might splurge for the Pioneer KURO 5020 instead.

its not a judder "issue" per se, its the fact that its playing film based movies as if they were film, no motion correction or anything so you're seeing it with the film "judder" which you would see in a movie theatre... I would check it out at a store first if you can... I have watched a ton of blu-ray clips on the one at my work thats hooked directly to the BD-30 with HDMI (thus giving it 24p playback) and have yet to see anything that bothers the eye
