Default Bluray PC Drive/Writer Question

Hello all,
I'm from Australia and im tired of seeing these blurays movie's available on ebay from overseas only to scroll further down the page to find that they are region locked.
So my question is if i were to buy a bluray drive for my pc would the region locked blurays be able to play?
I'm pretty sure DVD drive's are region free, or you could surpass the region code with software on your computer, same apply with bluray?
Thanks....

Default Region Lock

Hi I am from New Zealand, so same region as you. Yes Blu-Ray drives are region locked, normally up to five times you can change region until it is locked down. But if you purchase Slysoft AnyDVD it works great for playing any region. Consider the LG GGW-H20L, a great player and writer.
