Default klipsch b-3's vs. Def Tech PM1000's

Ok guys, I have decided to upgrade my speakers from what I had before. Right now they are the weakest link in my audio chain.

I have an Onkyo 605 Receiver
an SVS PB-10 and 25-39PCI running together
and for speakers i have the insignia bs2111's

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1138085354138

they have served me well for what I paid for them for my home theater, however I would like some speakers that are a good jump up from them. Right now I'm kinda looking at the Def Tech Pro Monitor 1000 bookshelves

http://www.amazon.com/Definitive-Tec...108816&sr=1-24

or the Klipsch Synergy B-3's

http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Synerg...8109283&sr=1-7

the questions I had were several fold.

1. I wanna make sure that I'm gonna have a good solid jump in quality over my Insignia's, I'm pretty sure that I will but wanted to make sure. Am I??

2. is one or the other an obvious quality difference over the other?? I know the Klipsch's are like 13-14 lb's apiece while the Def Tech 1000's are only like 7-8 lb speakers (which surprises me , mostly better electronics usually weigh more due to more and better components) Does one set of speakers stand out head and shoulders above the other???
