Default Who plans to watch the Olympics ?

Ok we are a few hours away from the beginning of the Olympics. So I thought it would be interesting to see who plans to watch the Olympics and why ?

Personally I will not watch the Olympics considering the whole Tibet issue. But that's just me. what about you ? will you watch them, yes, why ? no why ?

I'm in Canada, we never win anything at the summer games so why bother watching just for the disappointment ?

I dont really care about all the bullshit China gets itself into to and regardless of it being the US or another country who wins I really like to watch the Opening Ceremony and other selected events for kicks.

I'll watch the opening/closing ceremony, martial arts, and track and field, but that's probably it.

I am going to watch basketball, canoe/kayak, diving, rowing, soccer, swimming, table tennis, track and field, trampoline, and beach volleyball. I'll pretty much watch anything.

I'll make an effort to watch soccer, volleyball, diving, and swimming.

And whatever else I happen to catch.

Does anyone know what HD channels will be broadcasting the games? Or is it just NBC HD?

Hmm maybe it's too early in the thread to start drawing conclusions so correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that you will watch it cause you like Olympics or not watch it cause you don't like it. But no one seems to take into account the country where it will take place and its poor record on human rights issues.

The Olympics havn't been worth watching since 1992 (the year the original and only dream team played).

This current group could be great, they still have a slight ball hog problem with Wade and Bryant in the warm up games.

I love watching the Olympics...mostly just Winter Games, though....

I'll flip through for the swimming/diving and gymnastics, though...
