A lot of places online are cheaper than B&M stores even after shipping.
Also, some online stores send out pre-orders before release date meaning that people like me get Nixon today instead of eight days from now, and I only spent two bucks on shipping. ![]() My vote is for Pre-order. |

I use Amazon Prime to pre-order and I do not pay for shipping and it comes the same day as the release day.

I never pre-order, it does not matter to me whether I get the disc on the day of release or a week later. To be honest what real difference does it make. In fact for a lot of releases I wait for them to go on sale or multi-buy, thereby saving cash for future purchases.

Don't forget if you drive to BB, you'll be wasting gas. So there's no difference if you're paying for S&H. Just look for the best deal.

I pre-order more often that not. Mostly because it ensures me getting the title on time, and at all. Sometimes many stores do not put BD titles out on the street date. Also, I find Amazon, DVD Pacific etc. cheaper than the 'very' overpriced Best Buy and Circuit City.

sounds like you answered your own question............ Just run and pick it up..... kinda like video games.... for people who will pick it up at Midnight (talking Madden here, since my buddy is an addict!) and take the next day off work, and stay up all night playing it etc..... then picking it up at retail is worth the expense etc.... for people who just want it, and can wait a couple of extra days.... just order it online

It really is a matter of instant gratification. I usually preorder on Amazon because I have prime and always get things either on release date or the day after. However, when NCAA Football comes out each year I buy it at the store because I want it immediately. I find it is always cheaper for me to preorder because prices are lower on amazon and I don't have to pay tax/shipping. I have also purchased all my tvs, 2 ps3s, and my Xbox360 from amazon because it has free shipping and if I have a problem their customer support is much better than any local places.
