Post Whoring

I've heard it mentioned a few times, and I think I've seen it in action on a few occasions, but do the BD.com mods really ban people for post whoring?

Anyone know how that's determined? Do the mods read the actual posts, or does making a certain number of posts per day trigger the suspensions/bannings?

Any estimates of how many posts per day are considered too much?

I used to be considered a post ***** so much that I changed my avatar to show it - but if my post count and post average are considered post *****s, then there are some here who should be considered...what, post...super*****s? i dunno.

I've only been around since May, but I don't remember post counts ever being listed, except when you go to someone's profile. Were they originally listed on the side, with the avatar, in every thread?

The mods ran off a few people who they thought were posting too much random nonsense in multiple threads. Of course everyone knows the mods are the real...cool people who keep this site in tip top shape.
