Default Oklahoma! (Todd-AO version)

Given the utter crap transfer, and print for that matter, if and when Fox gets around to releasing the Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals on blu - this better get the deluxe treatment, if it's not, I'll be more than livid.... head's will roll

Hear! Hear! Couldn't agree more about the PQ of Oklahoma. The Sound of Music, South Pacific and King and I DVD's are thankfully more watchable. I also am hanging out for all of these and more on Blu and hope they get the deluxe treatment. If not, I will join you to make sure heads roll. Bluray was invented for these masterpieces.

Just be aware that as a 30p movie, it'll be carried inside a 60i transport, like the Nine Inch Nails concert. (Just trying to kill the why is this in 1080i questions at the root )

A great transfer of this first Todd-AO 70mm 6 track film would be great (2nd disc for the 2.55 Scope 24p version of course)

The old transfer really was pretty damn good for its time, when it was released on LD. When they used the same transfer on DVD it looked awful, of course. It's definitely due for a major remastering, though. And an un-remixed 5.1 track based on the original Todd-AO audio would be fantastic.
