Default Blockbuster UK may go with blu-ray only?

Once rental companies realize the economics of the BD hardcoat, they'll all come to the same conclusion. HD DVD is too fragile for rental.

Excellent news and good financial choice.

Blu-ray for rental = fewer complaints and fewer replacement discs.

I've lost count of how many nails have gone into HD DVD's coffin in the past few days. How sweet it would be if Universal themselves were to hammer the last one in.

Great news! I'm tired of this format war. HD-DVD is inferior in every way Blu-ray is, hoping that HD-DVD dies sooner.
