Default NetFlix Shipping Delays

Has anyone else got the message from NetFlix about shipping delays? I mailed a disc back on Monday, and they haven't even shipped my next disc yet. The unreliability combined with impending fee raise might lead to me cancelling them sooner rather than later.

Yeah, this is a curiosity, huh? They say they will issue credits, but they don't say how much (a whole month?). I have movies they say "shipping Wednesday", so I will see, if they arrive today. It's been a convenient service, and I still think the price is a good value, but their customer service has consistently been rock bottom. They never, never, never respond to inquiries. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice when it comes to rentals. The only Blockbuster is well out of my way (and their online service is not a better value), and most of my rentals are indies and foreigns that I won't find a small-time shops.

I see the delay notification on the website (personal account), and my movie still says "Shipping Wednesday" (and it's Thursday).

I also got a duplicate charge from them as well, that it appears they've rectified... they certainly seem to be having some sort of issue with their account/queue/shipping management software....

I've got this on my website:

We're sorry to report that we've been experiencing issues with our shipping system, so some of you are not receiving DVDs in a timely manner and some of you have not received emails letting you know we got a DVD back from you.

We apologize and we'll be automatically issuing credits to all of you whose shipments have been delayed. Our goal is to ship DVDs as soon as possible and to provide a personalized email update to you if your DVD shipment was delayed.

I had wondered if it was regional. Guess not. What could cause this nationally??

I got it too. I spoke with a rep and it sounds like they are planning on issuing credit for the days of the delay and ntohing more. Between this and the constant long waits for movies, I am demanding a full free month and if they won't grant it, I am done with Netflix.

in-store exchange really helps..

^^

I love the fact that almost all of there BBV locally here have BD and 1 of them have a huge BD collection!!

For $3 more, I love my BBV at $19.99/month. (and I average about 25 BD or DVD a month)

I got the message this morning but have been too busy with work to notice the delay. If it were winter, I'd be a little bummed but really, how often does this happen and is it really THAT bad that some of you are planning on cancelling? Geez...

It's not just this. It's a combination of things. We had a house, a dog, and now all that's... just...

sorry couldn't help myself. Anyways, like I said it's this plus the fact that blu-rays have an extremely high wait time and often the discs that I want ship from another region which takes an extra 2 days. Plus, I kinda went on a binge when I started and did the 3 at a time so I'm low on content right now. Also, with college football coming up and me being a big fan, I won't need movies as much. I could see myself taking netflix back up next year, but I think I may cancel for now.

Well this is the second incident in about 6 months, thats two times too many. For those thinking of quitting, it's not just about a shipping delay, it's about poor customer service, long wait times and a pending price increase.

I had two movies about to be shipped out. This morning, they are gone from my queue and the two spaces they occupied have been replaced by they expect to ship my next movies tomorrow! Where did the movies go that they were about to send out?

Stopped shipments to take an inventory maybe? Have to wait a few days for all of the discs to flush out of the postal service.

Yep, received one as well. I sent a movie back on Monday and I usually would have had a movie yesterday. But alas, no movie yet.

Ditto, I should have had two sent out in the last two days, still no movement. At least I now know why.

Seems like Netflix is having major shipping problems. Nothing shipped on Tuesday and today. But some discs were shipped yesterday. Strange I got 4 blu-rays today but didn't get one that was supposed to ship on Tuesday. Sucks because because its the first Pirates of the Caribbean and I received the other two.
