1080P Mitsubishi 46'' LT-46133? steal/deal? - Blu-ray Forum

My uncle just tipped me off on a brand new MITSUBISHI 46" LCD.
It's new without box, for $950 cash, Firm.

I looked online and saw them run upwards of $1600-$2000.

I'm just wondering if anyone owns, or has seen the PQ on a mitsubishi LCD.
If so, how would you rate it? Quality, pros and cons? and how do they compare to the Aquos, Sammies, and Sonys?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I really wouldn't recommend stealing it. If it was a Pioneer Kuro Elite - sure, go for stealing it. Just don't get caught.

Back on topic - I've never played around with the flat panel Mitsubishis. Personally though - I'm not a big fan of that brand.

it's between the aforementioned Mitsu 46" LCD for $950 or a 46" Aquos for $1200

Mitsubishi's LCD TV's are pretty sub par. I see them often enough because I work at a service center, and their PQ just doesn't measure up to Samsung's, Sony's or Sharp's. Mitsubishi is much better at the DLP game (I have one of their DLP projectors), so in short I wouldn't recommend it. Go with the Sharp.

Man thats a steal i sell Mitsu and they retail for 1500. Also their color reproduction is the most accurate of any tv. They use a 6 color processor in them where other manufacturers only use three. The colors on the mits are absolutly amazing. It may not be as "shiny" as samsungs with their clear panel but still a great deal at $950. Its a steal and thats my verdict.
