Default 5.1 in a box (ps3)

I'm looking for a 5.1 in a box theater system for my bed room that has pcm so I can get dtshdma and dolbt truehd sound from my ps3. My budget is around $500. To my understanding it has to be hdmi to get 5.1 or it will be 2.0 which kind of has me worried about running the ps3 through the cheap receiver to the tv without messing up the pic. Anyone know of any good systems?

just curious as to why you're dead-set on a 5.1 for the bedroom? I went with a 5.0 and I'm very happy, but for a $500 budget, possibly a 3.0 system will be the best for you, especially if you're watching while in bed.

Where ever I'm watching a bluray I want it to have 1080 and hd audio in 5.1. Its just how it is supposed to be. Thank god for the ps3 and LPCM that way I don't have to spend $400 on a receiver I can get the whole system for that price.

Okay, look at the 5.1 Polk system and Onkyo 605 in my sig. That handles all current codecs.
