Default Bookshelf speakers

I currently am using the polk audio rm6750 speaker package but plan on upgrading in a few months.i was looking at some of the polk audio book shelf speakers on amazon and wasn't sure if that would make a notable sound upgrade?

Budget and what speakers are being upgraded? Myself, I would not upgrade bookshelf fronts with other bookshelf fronts. I would consder floorstanding speakers, depending on space of course. More information is needed...

Upgrading from the 6750s to Monitor 30s will not be that big of an upgrade, if that is what you are considering?????

Bookshelves will often times sound better than tower speakers if you have a good subwoofer. No offense to Polk Audio, but the line that you are looking at though, I would bypass bookshelves too. Bookshelves will often give you tighter midrange that is more responsive, and if a good subwoofer can reach the lows with an accurate crossover point then you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between bookshelves and towers if you couldnt see them
