Default Lower Rez & Cheaper HD DVD last gasp?

I believe the title to this article pretty much says it all.

Cheaper (in all connotations of the word) very, very rarely wins.

Well even though I disagree about your theory on cheap products...this is by far the dumbest thing i've read in my time on this site. wow. not only would it fail to attract everyone who hasn't adopted HD DVD yet, but it would really piss off those who have!

I agree.

I mean, downscaling the native resolution from 1080p to 720p. A major step backwards?!?!?!?

No thanks.
