Saw 'Nightmare Before Christmas' at Best Buy today! - Blu-ray Forum

I was perusing the BD section at a local Best Buy today and to my surprise, they had 4 copies of Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' on the shelf. (It's not supposed to street until the 26th.) I came very close to buying it, but didn't want to spend the $34.99 marked price. (Besides, I wonder whether they would have caught the error at the register?) For those interested, it's in a slipcase and it comes with a digital copy. (Didn't notice much else about it, other than the BD case itself is of the thinner, Sony-style variety.)

Witht the recent announcement of Polar Express 3D, I can only wonder if we'll get NBX 3D sometime next year, since it also had a 3D theater release like PE did?

I am not sure who they do the 3-D for these films esp Nightmare - I saw the 3-D version in theatres and the images were so clean and detailed... the regualr DVD seemed more grainy but may have just been digital noise ... so it will be cool to see what the Blu-Ray will look like. A film like this is all about the small details.

Maybe some reviews will be posted for this title soon I hope. Anyone have it to review yet?

Any other confirmations elsewhere. Don't doubt it, just don't want to make a trip out to my local BB if it happens to be a one shot wonder. Have enough reward zone certificates to get this for $10

I work at a Best Buy we haven't even got them in yet, and we probably wouldn't until at least Wednesday or Thursday.

A Nighmare before Christmas is by far my favorite musical. A great film.

No mention whether Vincent was in HD or not, so I guess that means it wasn't. Disappointing.

You could have bought without Rewards Zone just use cash then next week come in and get it for whatever price match you're gonna use and take the 2nd copy and receipt from the $34.99 and return and got your money and you have then movie a week early and for the resonable price you want.

Me i want it but im waiting till October (even thou thats a killer month

) to buy this to watch closer to halloween to get that spirit feel out of it and on bright side it will be cheaper then too so a plus for me.

i saw it at Sam's Club and it was cheaper by about $7 on Saturday but they wouldnt let me have it

Some catalog titles are put on shelves early. Doubt folks would find new releases simply because they aren't supposed to be put on the shelves but some employees are clueless!!!
