Looking for info on remote play: Please help - Blu-ray Forum

Hi!

Just wanted to know exactly how remote play works with the ps3 and psp. Can you play ps3 games on the psp with remote play? And if not, can you at least use the psp as a portable screen for ps3 games while using the normal ps3 remote?

I would appreciate any info!

From my understanding, you can play the ps1 games you download on your ps3 through remote play on your psp. You can also access your music, pictures and video, as well as your PSEye for "security"... or plain creepiness.

And i believe certain ps3 games do allow you to play them on the psp, like lair. But that's all i know.

-High Stakes Poker
-PixelJunk Monsters
-PixelJunk Eden

I only know Lair because I've heard about that, but I have the other 3 and they all work.

Echochrome has it's own PSP version so I was bummed to find out I couldn't play the PS3 version.

You cannot play PS3 or Blu-Ray movies on your PSP from your PS3.

You can play games you have downloaded to your PS3 and PS1 games from the Playstation Store you have in the disc drive. You can play any music/videos/pictures saved on your Harddrive as well.

EDIT: There are a select few PS3 games, but they are rare.

So is there no way to simply just use the psp screen to play ps3 games? In other words if I still use the ps3 controller is there a way to connect the psp so that I can see what I'm playing? (Like a tiny tv?)
