Default POLAR EXPRESS in 3D Oct. 28!

Warner Home Video announced today that they will release THE POLAR EXPRESS in both 3D and 2D versions as part of a 2-disc set on Oct. 28.

The package will include 4 pairs of glasses as well. Extras will be the same as the previous version.

It will be interesting to see if the 3D version will work with both regular sets and video projectors!

What kind of glasses?
Are these the crappy red/blue glasses, or what?
I did see this in Imax 3D, but I am not sure I want to see it again, especially if it is with the crappy red/blue 3D.

See the Hannah Montana Blu-ray 3-D release tomorrow if you want to experience the glory of anaglyphic red/blue 3-D. It will also include 4 disposable-grade red/blue 3-D glasses.

Mostly because every other polarized 3-D system requires special projectors, if you get 3-D on home video, it's going to be in red/blue, end of story.

(Whatever happened to that Duoptix/Chroma 3D-video system that they used for that one 80's Super Bowl, where it looked absolutely normal if you weren't wearing the glasses?...
Didn't they use that for the Disney Channel airing of Hanna Montana?)

According to highdefdigest.com, it is going to be the red/blue glasses which is kind of upsetting. O well, I guess the only way I upgrade now is if it gets lossless audio which based on Warner, I wont hold my breath.

Any news on this if the 2D version included is going to include lossless or is it just going to repackage the original 2D disc (lossy sound) with the 3D version?

I want lossless but I really don't know if I want it with R/B 3D glasses.

So the 3D version will include 3D glasses just like Journey to the center of the Earth 3D ?
Will it be limited for this 3D edition ?

Thanks

The original disc was the first Blu-Ray movie I ever bought, but I may have to get this version as well due to the inclusion of lossless audio.

Quick question - are the 3D glasses for both Journey to the Center of the Earth and Polar Express the Red/Blue ones?
