Default Best place to pick-up Transformers on release day (Canada)

So far the best deal I have found would be from Tower.com
$23.99 + $5.00 shipping = $29

Amazon.com
$24.95 + $7.98 = $32.93

Amazon.ca
$29.99 (have to buy something else to get free shipping) + GST

Any other options??

Best place to actually pick it up would probably be Best Buy as they have it for $29.99 if you have a store near you. If you don't have an Amazon Prime membership thats probably your best bet.

Walmart is $24.96 + shipping...ends up $.50 cheaper than amazon for me. Deepdiscount is $27.83 with free shipping if you don't mind the wait.

I think some of you guys missed the (Canada) part in the title. People in Canada cannot get Prime and Walmart up here does not ship from a website.

Mine's coming from Amazon.com. I should have it in my mailbox on Thursday or Friday of release week. Release day is Tuesday but Amazon ships on Monday. I always group my orders to save on shipping so it's coming with 3 or 4 other Blu-rays.

$4 actually

$5 + $3 per title

One of the big things is no tax - that makes up for the shipping.

Be careful though as BB rewards aren't very rewarding. If you check carefully:

- you get 1 point for every dollar spent before tax
- for every 400 points you collect you get 5$ in rewards
- so to get 10 cents you need 8 points

Transformers is 29.99 at best buy so you get 30 points for that so it means less than 40 cents back. Now is the movie under 29.60 at Wal-Mart? If yes the better deal is at WM, if no BB has the best deal. Some people think BB rewards are good but I think they are pretty crappy considering how much you get back. It's a very good marketing element from them though, it makes people buy even more from them even though the deal might be somewhere else.

I ordered the movie from Future Shop with the B2G1 deal going on. Actually, I took 5 along with Tranformers, and it makes it an average of 18.50$ per movie. They are all in my all time favourites so I'm happy with that.

Actually, Best Buy does have the best deal because you can price match Wal-Mart then add the rewards you get from it on top of that. So, whenever I go to Best Buy, I feel like I have the prices of all local stores at my fingertips, as long as I do the research. You don't even have to print out anything for proof, I just show them the price on the company's web site on my cell phone (internet). And on top of all that, I get double points on everything because I have the BB MasterCard.

Oh yeah, you're right, if you can price match, you'll get a better deal all the time.... unless you can find it for dollars less somewhere else that can't be price matched.

They'll honor all price matches unless "on sale" or "online only". But they don't usually care about the on sale items. Because technically any blu-ray under MSRP is on sale, so that's ridiculous. But if it's from a non-major retailer, there's an "other" category that the employee selects when doing the price match. I've even price matched with Tower before but I don't recommend that because it's not legit since there are only like 4 stores worldwide now. Also, I've recently discovered the whole "Used & new" section of Amazon, so waiting until the release day to order it from a private seller might be the best deal of the day, because some of those private sellers offer brand new blu-rays for unbelievable prices. And most of them are very kind about it. One time I ordered an Unrated DVD from there and received the rated version, and the private seller refunded my money subsequent to my complaint and let me keep the item as well.

You can order it from Family video at $25.30 + tax(in some states) and use the free shipping code (GAMEPRO7).

Most of you guys that replied recently missed the part that the OP is talking about deals in Canada. I don't believe Family Video ships here, there is no FYE in Canada, there is likely no point in matching Walmart since their price in Canada is almost always no better than Best Buy. We get screwed on prices of Blu-rays at pretty much every place in Canada.

I think Best Buy also offer a free movie pass for the movie Eagle Eye if you buy Transformers on Blu-Ray.

That would be awesome because I'm seeing that movie anyways. They gave out a bunch for Traitor/Righteous Kill over the past weekend
