Not the most expensive by a long shot. Check out Nordost's Odin and Tara Labs' Zero for starters...

I'm sorry but who the hell needs a $3,000 POWER CORD! Come on people, this is for your frickin stereo, not a nuclear powerplant.

And $12,000 for a pair of 5 foot (1.5m) analog audio cables?! Okay lets put this in perspective. You could get a pair of 5 foot tall 21 year old blonds that, I guarantee, will bring you more satisfaction for $12k than those cables will.

My 2c.

The acronym for STEALTH (Sound Technology Enabling Audibly Lucid Transcomponent Harmony) is a bit pathetic...

I guess they could use a new publicist!

(Still shaking head)

I understand quality folks, but is there really THIS much money in the world??

HO---LEEEE. I once knew this scary German dude who hand wound gold speaker cable for $300 a foot and I always thought he was nuts (well...he was nuts anyway) but by God, if business wasn't booming for that guy.

They would make HDMI cables but... there isn't enough money in the world for what they would charge for them.

If you had a $300K stereo system, that $3K power cord might make a justifiable improvement.

And I thought it was because for $6000 they actually disappeared so you don't have to go hiding cable. Stupid me.

Also one would have to have quite the surge protector. Since these wires are so good, there would be no resistance what so ever in an electrical storm and then poof...... every thing would be gone !

Yes, apparently there is this much money in the world. I'm not one of them but I live near a lot of people who do have this much money. I stopped by the local Whole Foods market on my way home from work last night and there were 4 Lamborghinis (3 of them were so new they still had the paper license plates from the dealer) and 2 Ferraris in the parking lot. The same people who buy cars like these are the same people who would have no problem paying $100 an inch for speaker wire.

Do you live in Austin, TX cause those cars might be the original owners of Whole Foods.

Edit: Imagine the "scent" inside of those cars with all the non-deodorant wearing fumes.

No, I live in SoCal. The Whole Foods I was at is at the District in Tustin. The cars were probably from residents of nearby Irvine or Newport Beach. It is not unusual to see dozens of exotic cars driving around Newport on any Friday evening.

I doubt the non-deoderant wearing hippies and tree huggers who shop at Whole Foods drive exotics though. Most of them drive a VW Bus or a Prius. Actually my daughter used to work there in 'Prepared Foods'. She used to come home and ***** about all the damned vegans who shop there and their elistist rudeness. Every day at least a couple of them would ask her is she had actually touched any meat products before dishing out their veggies. Then insist that she wash her hands and the serving spoon again just to be sure.
