Gta4 Will Not Work - Blu-ray Forum

Well I finally got tired of playing MGS4 online for now so I decided to pop back in my Grand Theft Auto 4 and play it again after a while. Put the disc in and it either freezes my system or it tries to start up and gives me the message "An error occured during the start operation. (8001002B)" What gives????

The freeze thing happens to a lot of people. There has already been a patch out to rectify this problem. It still happens on occasion though.

If you want you can send me your game and I will test it out on my PS3. The cost of this analysis will be 1 (ONE) GTA IV complete game.

Actually guys i feel so stupid i realized the problem. My brother probably lent it to one of his friends without my knowledge cause I checked the disc and it was covered in fingerprints.

But it seems to be working now thank god so sorry...false alarm.

But that is something interesting that I didn't realize about the PS3 it doesnt even attempt to play very dirty games??? Lol.

Thats why i never let anyone else borrow my games or movies. They NEVER come back in the same condition they left in. The only person I let borrow them is my father, since he is just as anal about taking care of discs as i am.
