Question. I saw this new 80 gig model at Costco. Is it just an increase in HD space from the 40 gig or does it have backwards compatibility too???

It's a 40 gb PS3 with an 80 gb HDD. No backwards compatibility, two usb ports, no memory card ports, etc. Spend the extra $100 on the MGS4 bundle. It's worth it.

lol, true...I guess they want to keep it "fresh", plus it gets people to buy another one, look at the flocks that picked up the 40gb for the price.

just got to give the people what they want to buy. its sad that theres no PS2 BC, because PS2 games just look better on the ps3.

All PS3's have PlayStation (PSone) backwards compatibility. Be careful with your choice of words.

"No PS2 BC" as opposed to "No BC"
