Default Dolby Digital Help
I purchased a Sony BDP-S350 and have since returned it for an exchange. The PQ was great, but I was having some trouble with sound. I had the player hooked up via the digital coax cable to my amp. DTS played great, but Dolby Digital would play for about 5-10 seconds, then cut out for a few seconds. Is this just a problem with the player, or is this protected audio or something?

I currently have a preamp with optical or digital coax in...no HDMI yet. I definitely don't want to downmix to PCM to get 2.0 sound that is converted to Dolby ProLogic in the preamp.

I'm OK for now with having the "lossy" Dolby Digital 5.1. Just curious if this was a problem with the player.
