Yea, I was going to wait for Nip/Tuck on blu too, if the first three (DVD-only released) seasons weren't only $14.99 each at circuit city on black friday. Maybe you should wait until this thanksgiving and not miss out on all the seasons. I was just pondering over the most recent season...
But House, M.D. definitely looks awesome in HD, at least through comcast lol |

I was a little shocked this wasn't announced for Blu-ray. If any show could support Blu-ray type sale numbers it would be this show with its massive television audience. Universal has shown they are willing to release big Blu-ray tv sets like Heroes so it makes me wonder whether they have enough production capacity scheduled and available for a set like House.

I have been wondering this myself, especially after The Sarah Connor Chronicles (which has been hotly rumored to get cancelled) got a Blu-ray release. Given that "House M.D." is Fox's #1 scripted show and one of the most poupular accross all networks for 18-49 year-olds (a huge chunk of the Blu-ray market), it is a mystery. And I want a Hugh Laurie commentary on an episode or two, if he'd do it. |

I don't want to revive a long dead topic here, but I was just wondering about this subject myself.
It seems extremely strange that they wouldn't bring House to blu-ray. Why? Well, they've only been broadcasting and thus FILMING the show in HD since either the first or second season, so it just seems odd that Fox wouldn't want to spend the few pennies it would cost to slap it on blu and get the premium price for the season sets on blu while the consumers are still willing to pay for it. It seems like such an obvious choice, as noted before, with such a wide audience and DVD sales doing so well, if the original masters are all in HD, how hard would it be to bring this series to blu-ray? I doubt it would be difficult at all, and it just doesn't make any sense that this hasn't even been announced yet. Pick up the ball, Fox, you've obviously dropped it. |

What is bizarre is the recent announcement that season one is being reissued in anamorphic widescreen since the first release was non-anamorphic on dvd. If that will not push a new BD release I do not know what will. Universal is losing money not releasing this show on Blu-ray.
