Sharp Aquos: Do you own one?

I have a Sharp Aquos BD player. This player has every issue known to the format. It locks up. Load times are extremely long. It has many software issues. Many discs give me the incompatible disc error.

I've had this unit less than a year and it is quite annoying that I'm going to have to buy a new unit to get around these problems. I've contacted Sharp and the woman on the phone admitted that all their players have serious issues. She said I have to send it in for service but they will replace it if service doesn't work. Personally, I'm insulted that I spent $400 on a unit that may never be right. Or the new one I might get from Sharp will have the same issues.

I've noticed hundreds of posts on several review sites regarding these same problems. Can anyone say "class action lawsuit"? I mentioned that to the woman on the phone and she said she's surprised that no suit has been filed against Sharp. She stated that the players were not ready for general use.

What do you think?

ha...lol.. you better be careful here. people are very touchy if you don't use the search button or post on the wrong section..It personally doesn't bother me.

I have a Sharp Aquos but its the 32" 1080p tv. No issues whatsoever. There's a pretty good reason why people decide to get the PS3.
