Default New Warner Titles!

From the HTF chat with Warner tonight, lots of hints were dropped on upcoming high-def titles. Sounds like we should expect a slew of announcements from them soon (on both HD formats).

Titles that were definitely coming included Deliverance and L.A. Confidential (for it's 10th Anniversary) possibly the Blade Runner SE, and they confirmed more Kubrick will be out before the end of the year.

They also reiterated that they will be catching up on all the HD-DVD titles that they hadn't released on Blu-Ray yet.

The chat is still ongoing at the moment and there will be a full transcript on thedigitalbits.com tomorrow, so heads up!

I couldn't get on - is that possible?

I hope someone is telling them that THD sucks as an idea.

It took me two hours to get my question in. Unfortunately, they refused to take any questions about formats, so I didn't get to ask anything really interesting. You could tell they've had enough of all the madness. They were only willing to discuss titles and they made an effort to always say Blu-Ray and HD-DVD in the same breath.

Ah - shame that... I still hope they hear that THD is a bad idea all the time from everyone, then perhaps they might abandon it... well one can hope. No more life support for HD-DUD...

Yeah, LA Confidential will be sweet!
Especially since I watched the DVD a couple of weeks back...and that one looks really bad.

I can't wait for the full transcript. I really hope Warner hasn't forgotten about the movies they put out last year on HD DVD and hope they DO bring them to Blu-ray soon.
